Reasons For Refusing To Vote For A Party.

HYPOCRISY. Hypocrisy is in all the parties, which accuse each other of various practices when in opposition and then do likewise when in power, leading to the common perception “they’re only in it for themselves”. We see them on TV jeering at each other across the gangway of the House of Commons. Do we understand why? (see Is It Really Democracy?) |

BROKEN PROMISES. Once you have surrendered your vote the “party system” takes over and the voters have no power to make them keep to their pledges. |

BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION
ENDEMIC. Inevitably, since their purpose unashamedly is to “gain power” they must first BRIBE the voters more effectively than their opponents with some material advantage which they do not yet have (at someone else’s expense). Likewise the candidates, who become MPs and then want to become part of government, must obey the party and vote the way they are told. |

CENTRALISATION OF POWER. Centralisation of power is caused entirely by the existence of the Party System. (see Rule of Law) This system, instead of uniting people causes hatred, suspicion, envy and fear, in case they lose to the “enemy” and so suffer some personal loss. It means that the biggest gang (“majority rule”) which grabs power can do as it likes. This could be called “democratic despotism”, differing from an absolute monarchy by the numbers involved. By your vote for any party you the voter are consenting to this!!! |

IS IT REALLY DEMOCRACY? Is it really Democracy if, after the votes are cast, voters have no further say; or if this “majority rule” means that it may be hard, if not impossible (except by violence) to stop, reverse or repair mistakes or bad legislation forced through Parliament by “government”, for up to FIVE YEARS, the lifetime of a Parliament. Indeed, it may mean the whole nation can be brought to the brink of disaster before a policy change occurs. (see British Elections Becoming Meaningless) Because the Opposition has no power against a “majority” it can only jeer in an attempt to discredit the government. It cannot stop it doing any damage! |

RULE OF LAW. Rule of law is undermined by the Party System, because whereas all authority is supposed to operate under the Rule of Law, PARTY GOVERNMENT, which is CABINET GOVERNMENT, has managed to side-step this requirement, according to several legal experts. Not only does a “democratic party government” illegally interfere with Parliament by means of MPs called “party whips” in a way that a monarch was never allowed to do, but constitutionally, laws should only come into force upon the free consent of the Commons, Lords and the Monarch. All three are now so un-free to do their legal duty because of the party controls that we have almost single chamber government or “elective dictatorship” (Lord Hailsham’s phrase) |

BRITISH ELECTIONS
BECOMING MEANINGLESS. Thanks to the party system our right to govern ourselves has been largely transferred to a foreign dictatorship i.e. Brussels (which is an open manifestation of the disguised dictatorship we have had for years. The Brussels move was achieved by bribes and threats to all parties in Parliament in the way described elsewhere. Unless we FIRST OF ALL get our government back and then into proper constitutional order what is the point of elections? |
